"Ruby Lee Alford, 74, of Taylor was received into the loving arms of her Heavenly Father on December 4, 2014, after a lengthy illness. She was born in Taylor, Texas to Eldo and Alma Remmert on November 10, 1940.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Alford.

Ruby is survived by her sons, Ricky Alford and wife Sherry, David Alford and wife Kathy; grandchildren Greg and Julie Alford, Richard Alford and Veronica Walker, Trenton Alford and Tiffany Alford; great grand-daughters, Kinley Alford and Makenna Walker; and brother, Larry Remmert and wife Cleo.

Ruby was employed by Fashions of Texas until she found her dream job as a receptionist at Intercraft Industries, where she was called “The voice of Intercraft”. Her beautiful voice and cheerful attitude were known to many. People would call just to hear her voice to make their day more pleasant. She loved camping with family and friends.
Ruby’s family would like to thank all her caregivers at the SPJST Nursing Home and Resolutions Hospice.

Visitation will be 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Sunday, December 7, 2014 at Providence Funeral Home.

Celebration of Life Services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Monday, December 8, 2014 at Providence Funeral Home with burial to follow at Taylor City Cemetery."
