Mrs. Myrtle Alexander Carter:
A native and lifelong resident of Mobile, AL departed this life into eternity Thursday, May 25, 2000 after a brief illness. She was born January 14, 1910. She was 90 years old. She was preceded in death by her two sons, Lorenzo Walter, Carter, III and Richard Carter; her parents, Walter and Sadie Lewis Alexander; her husband, Lorenzo Carter, II; her brothers, Norwood Alexander, Sr. and Walter Alexander. She leaves to cherish her memories, a loving brother, Richard D. Alexander; nieces , Ponzettar A. (Arthur) Johnson, Myrtle A. (Anthony) Gayles, Mary A. (John) Finch, Claudette A. Coles, Ruthie A. Shine, Sadie (Sam) Flowers, Faye Malone, Ann (Ronald) Heisser, Edna (Miller) Boyd, Jennifer Henderson, Benice Brown; nephews, Durham (Donna) Alexander, Norwood (Hildreth) Alexander, Labarron (Sonya) Alexander, James (Daisy) Alexander, and Steve Alexander; sisters-in-law, Linda Carter, Ruth A. Brown, Mary Carter, Val Alexander; brother-in-law, Leroy Forde; a and a host of relatives, great nieces, great nephews, good friends and neighbors. Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 30, 2000 at Hope Chapel A.M.E. Zion Church, 1644 Wolf Ridge Road, Whistler, AL. Funeral services will follow at 11 a.m. with Rev. James H. Taylor officiating. Interment will follow in Oaklawn Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are by JOHNSON-ALLEN MORTUARY, 600 Chestnut St, Mobile, AL 36603.
