"Ed Alexander, colored, 48 years old, died at his residence on Washington street at 2:10 this morning. The funeral will be Wednesday afternoon."
Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Records, book 19, pg 66: Edward was 43 years, 11 months, 23 days old when he died from lobar pneumonia secondary to bronchitis. He lived at 406 Washington St., and was a concrete worker. He was African American.
