Mrs. Opal Marie Alexander, 43, of 1346 North Illinois street, whose husband, Harry, is with the army somewhere in this country, died at 11 a.m. today in St. Mary's hospital where she had been a patient since May 31.
A daughter of Lafayette and Mary Shanks Frazier, she was born in Danville on Jan 29, 1902? She moved here 25 years ago from Tuscola. She married Harry Alexander Nov. 16, 1941.
Besides her mother and husband, she leaves two children, Amalia Wilskey, at home, and Mrs. Dixie Dowl of Akron, Ohio; six brothers, John, William, Dale and Elsworth, all of Akron, and Harlie and Donald, both of Decatur; two sisters, Mrs. James Lamb, Tuscola, and Mrs. Albert Noll of Decatur; and a granddaughter.
Burial will be in Graceland cemetery.
