Mrs.Elizabeth Alexander died at 2 oclock Friday morning at the home of her son, W. L. Alexander, 1767 N. Edward street. She was eighty seven years old. Her death was due to the infirmities of age.
Mrs. Alexanders maiden name was Elizabeth A. Howell. She was born in Perrysville, Ind, May 6, 1837. She had resided in Macon county for a long time and in Decatur for the last nineteen years. She was a member of the Christian church at Argenta.
Besides her son she is survived by a brother and sister, Samuel Howell of Keokuk, Ia. and Mrs. Julia Nye of Francisville, Mo.
The funeral will be held at 1:30 oclock Sunday afternoon at the Dawson & Wikoff chapel. The burial will be in Boiling Springs cemetery.
