Dorothy Hagood Alexander, of Lubbock was born on Feb. 23, 1946 in Lubbock to Robert L. and Oneta Hayes Hagood.
Dorothy and her family moved to Pampa in 1959, where she and her high school sweetheart, Wendell, married on March 28, 1964. She and her husband moved to Lubbock in 1969 and later became employed with Western Finance and from 1995 she had been employed as the manager of Capital Loans. Dorothy enjoyed the outdoors, hunting and camping, along side her husband. Mrs. Dorothy Alexander died on Saturday, Sept. 6, 2003. Survivors include her husband, Wendell; her children, Lisa Alexander and Greg Alexander and his wife, Becky, all of Lubbock; her grandson, Caleb Alexander; two step-granddaughters, Allison and Brittney Ewrin; her mother, Oneta Hayes Hagood of Lubbock; her brother, Robert Hagood and his wife, Teresa of Lubbock. Her father, Robert L. Hagood, preceded her in death on Feb. 24, 1994. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. on Tuesday at the City of Lubbock Cemetery with Rev. Richard L. White officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Rix Funeral Directors.
