Mrs. Ethel L. Alexander, 85, a resident Hays Drive in Columbia passed away on Wednesday, March 30, 2005 at Middle Tennessee Medical Center in Murfreesboro.

Funeral services for Mrs. Alexander will be conducted Friday, April 1, 2005 at 3:00 p.m. at the Williams Funeral Home in Columbia with Artie Collins officiating. Burial will be in the Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends Thursday from 5:00 until 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

The Hardin County native was the daughter of late Joseph M. and Rebecca Williams Bowling. She was the widow of Murry B. Alexander. Mrs. Alexander was retired seamstress for Dixie Manufacturing. She was a member of the Philippi Church of Christ.

She is survived by a son, Wayne (Donna) Alexander of Murfreesboro, TN; a granddaughter, Brandi (David) Alexander Smith and a grandson, Clint Alexander both of Murfreesboro, TN; one sister, Frances (Jim) Webb of Cross Junction, VA.

She was preceded in death by eight brothers and one sister.

Pallbearers will be Howard Alexander, Larry Chunn, Leslie Goad, Buck Shouse, Joe Wade, Larry Bowling and David Smith.

Honorary pallbearers will be men of the Philippi Church of Christ and members of Hilltown Church of Christ.
