Mr. Harry Alexander, 77, of Columbia, died Monday, June 7, 2010, at Life Care of Columbia.
Visitation with the family will be Thursday, June 10, 2010, from 1-2 pm at Friendship Missionary Baptist Church with services to follow at 2 pm with the Rev. Alvin Anderson Sr. officiating. The body will lie in-state Wednesday after 1 pm at V.K. Ryan & Son Funeral Home.
Burial is in Rosemount Cemetery.

The Giles County native was the son of the late Grant and Arlena Shaw Alexander. He received his education in the Maury County school system and was employed by Monsanto Chemical Co. until his retirement and later worked as a farmer.
Survivors include his wife Mary Kinnard Alexander; devoted son Harry Wade Alexander; grandson, raised as a son, Andre McCoy, and grandsons Cory and Stephon McCoy, all of Columbia, TN; sister Elnora Sherrill of Nashville, TN; devoted cousins Eddie Mae Lipscomb Mary Armstrong and Annie Mayes, all of Columbia, TN; and a host of other cousins and friends.
