Frank was the son of the late Thomas and Zoe Marinos Alexander. His father was one of the pioneers of the amusement field in this area. He was a 1933 graduate of the former Kingston High School and Wyoming Seminary in 1934. He attended Bucknell Junior College and graduated from Bucknell University in 1938. He had been a resident of Edwardsville since 198~8 and had previously lived in Wyoming Avenue in Forty Fort for many years. He also lived in Kingston. Before his retirement, he owned and operated the former Forty Fort Theater and also the Luzerne Theater. He also was the proprietor of the former Alexander Brother's Coffee Co. in Luzerne. He was a U.S. Army Air Corps veteran of World War II and served as a captain in the 40th Bomber Group. He was stationed in the China-Burma-India theater as an intelligence officer and also taught link training at various bases in the nation. He was a member of the Greek Orthodox Church of the Annunciation, East Ross Street in Wilkes-Barre, Anthracite Post 283 of the Veterans of Foreign Wars in Kingston and was formerly a member of the Dream Mile Club and the Stretch Club in the Poconos. He was preceded in death by brothers, T. Thomas "Taki," in 1991; Peter, in 1986; sister, Mrs. Margaret Politis, in 1991. Surviving are his wife, the former Amelia Oram; son, Thomas F., Forty Fort; daughter, Mrs. Bonnie Best, White Haven; brother, Alec, Pompano Beach~, Fla.; five grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
