Donald F. Alexander, Davenport Street, Dallas, died Thursday at home.

Born Aug. 4, 1927, in Wilkes-Barre, he was the son of the late Donald and Margaret Lieby Alexander.

He was a graduate of E.L. Meyers High School, Class of 1946, and was a Marine Corps veteran of World War II. Mr. Alexander was a branch manager for Lance Inc. for over 20 years and also was branch manager for Herr's Potato Chips for over 10 years, prior to retiring in 1989. He was a member of Dallas United Methodist Church, George M. Dallas Lodge 531, Dallas, Irem Temple, Dallas, and their Chanters Unit, Golf Association and the American Legion Post 672, Dallas.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, the former Pauline Gruver Alexander.

He and his wife, Theresa, celebrated their 19th wedding anniversary on May 10, 2004. In addition to his wife, he is survived by son, Donald W. and his wife, Nadine Alexander, Harleysville; daughters, Debra and her husband, James Coburn of Vernon; Donna Alexander, Dallas; four grandchildren; twin sisters, Jessie Smith and Jane Mahon, both of Wilkes-Barre; several nieces and nephews.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday from the Mamary-Durkin Funeral Service Corp., 59 Parrish St., Wilkes-Barre. Interment will be in Chapel Lawn Cemetery, Dallas Township.

Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday.

Those who desire may give memorial contributions to Hospice St. John, Pittston.
