ROSCOE - Marion E. Alexander, 81, of Roscoe passed away on Thursday, Aug. 29, 2002, in St. Mary's Hospital in Madison, Wis. Born on Jan. 31, 1921, in Rock County, Wis., daughter of Harry and Alice Malott. She graduated from Hononegah High School. Married Benjamin R. Alexander on March 31, 1939, in Dubuque, Iowa. During World War II, she worked at Douglas Aircraft in Long Beach, Calif., then at Blackhawk Engineering, Rockford. She loved to bowl and play golf. She was an expert seamstress, producing many fine gifts for the family. She was also an excellent gardener and cook. Survivors include husband, Benjamin sons, Colin (Susan) Gobles of Michigan and Michael (Claire) Alexander of Bloomington grandchildren, Scott, Leah, Emily, Alison, Ruth, Colleen and Gregory and great-grandchildren, Sydney, Benjamin and Ethan. Predeceased by parents and brothers, Everett and Wayne.

Services at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 3, in Sunset Funeral Home, 8800 N. Alpine Road, with the Rev. Dr. William Richard Kerr Sr., officiating. Burial in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Visitation from 1 p.m. to service time Tuesday in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the American Heart Association. 9-1-2
