T.Scott Alexander, 72, former Decatur pharmacist who for several years was employed at Wests drug store, died Saturday morning in a a Chicago hospital after a weeks illness.
He was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs.David R.Alexander, Pioneer Decatur residents.
He leaves a son Jack of Chicago, and a sister Mrs. D. C. Grevarthen of Memphis,Tenn.
Services for Mr. Alexnader will be held at 2 pm Tuesday in Brintlingers funeral home where friends may call Monday evening and burial will be in Greenwood cemetery.
In the early 1920s Mr.Alexander was assistant director of the Fifth Avenue hospital and two sanitariums in New York city. He later became associated with the Walgreen chain of drug stores and for a while managed the organizations store in Decatur.
