ARLENE MARGARET (GOBELI) ALDRIDGE
March 7, 1942 ~ July 16, 2015

On the morning of July 16th, 2015 Arlene passed away after a brave battle with cancer while being comforted with family in her home. Arlene was 73 years old, and was born in her child hood home in Clarino Township, Wisconsin. She was the third child, and first daughter to Ernest and Helen Gobeli. Arlene was married to Michael M. Aldridge on February 28th, 2003. He preceded her in death on February 4th, 2008.

She was a loving Mother, Sister, Wife, and Grandmother. She was a Nurse who cared for our veterans her whole life in VA centers ranging from Arkansas, Wisconsin, Portland, and Washington.

Arlene's passions were cake decorating, cooking, gardening, and spending time with family and friends.

She was very generous, loving and kind. She befriended everyone she met, but yet was a spit fire if you got her riled up.

Arlene is survived by her two sons, Eric and his wife Lilia of Great falls, Montana and Vince and his wife Suzanne of Vancouver, Washington; (3) grandchildren, Vennessa, Amber, and Caitlyn; (3) great-grandchildren, Sumer, Conner, and Jace; brother, Alvin and his wife Shirley of Monroe, Wisconsin; sister, Mary of New Glarus, Wisconsin; sister-in-law, Jerry Ann of Winslow, Illinois; stepchildren, Jennifer and Michael; granddaughter, Madison; as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Helen Gobeli; her husband, Michael Aldridge; her brother, Robert Gobeli; and her brother-in-law Richard Hagen.

We all share the beautiful memories she left behind, missing her deeply from our lives.

There was a memorial service followed by a Celebration of Life held at Evergreen Memorial Gardens, Vancouver, Washington, Thursday, July 23rd, 2015. Rev. George Parker officiated the service. Her final resting place is at Willamette National Cemetery in Portland, Oregon.
