Berneice Switzer Aldrich died Thursday at her residence in Gainesville. She was 89. Mrs. Aldrich was born in Orange, Texas, and moved to Gainesville from Nome, Texas, in 1976. She was a homemaker, a china painter and a gardener. She was a member of the Eastern Star for 50 years. Mrs. Aldrich was a member of United Church of Gainesville. She received an associate's in science degree from Lamar State University in Beaumont, Texas. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl C. Aldrich; and a daughter, Sarah Lou Aldrich. Survivors include a son, Henry Cari Aldrich of Gainesville; and two grandsons.
