Born August 22, 1933, in Spartanburg, she was a daughter of Thomas James Emory and Mary Clytise Curry Emory.
Mrs. Alderman was of the Baptist faith.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Charles W. Emory, and she was the widow of Theodore Louis Alderman, Sr. Surviving are, four daughters, Shirley Ann Carr of St. Stephen, Patricia Marie Sipes of Indiana, and Jo Anne Alderman and Sharon Louise Seegers both of N. Charleston; four sons, Theodore L. Alderman, Jr., John Anthony Alderman, Thomas Wayne Alderman, and Robert Matthew Alderman all of N. Charleston; three sisters, Eileen Hester of Moncks Corner, Barbara Brown of Chester, and Hazel Coates of Spartanburg; two brothers, Thomas Wayne Emory of Orange, TX, and Kenneth Emory of Spartanburg; twelve grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.
Interment was in Carolina Memorial Park.
