Funeral services for Mr. Arthur Everette Albritton, age 69 of Clarks, will be held at 10 AM on Saturday, August 27, 2011 from the sanctuary of Cross Roads Baptist Church with Bro. Tommy Nelson and Bro. Shane Duke officiating. He will be laid to rest at Welcome Home Cemetery in Grayson.

Visitation will be Friday evening, August 26, 2011 at Cross Roads Baptist Church from 5 PM to 9 PM, then again Saturday morning from 8 AM until time of service.

Mr. Albritton was born on January 21, 1942 in Stonewall, MS to the union of Harmon Earl Albritton and Margaret Ruth Boles Albritton Chandler and passed to his Heavenly home on Tuesday, August 23, 2011 at LSU Medical Center in Shreveport, LA.

Everette served his country with the Army National Guard. He was a member of Cross Roads Baptist Church for 25 years and worked as a newspaper carrier for The News-Star for 34 years.

He was a loving father, brother, grandfather, uncle and friend to everyone he touched. He leaves this world to live in a wonderful place with God and his loving wife and family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his step-father, Maxie Chandler; wife, Patricia Ann Word Albritton; son, Jessie Malcolm "Mike" James and sister, Peggy Joyce Albritton.

Survivors include three daughters: Linda James of Alexandria, Connie Jones and husband, Charlie of Texarkana, AR and Wanda James of Alexandria; daughter-in-law, Norma Spruell and husband, Warren of Kelly; four brothers: Ray Albritton and wife, Sarah of Quitman, MS, Johnny Albritton and wife, JoAnn of Olla, Jackie Albritton and wife, Linda of Stonewall, MS and Bobby Ray Chandler of Quitman, MS; sister, Patricia Ann Albritton Mayo and husband, Larry of Quitman, MS; seven grandchildren: Tabatha Coronado, Carrie Calkins, Robert Clark, Clay Clark, Brandy Swain, Allen Girod and Brittany Burdette; numerous great-grandchildren; twelve nieces and nephews: Sonya Spelich, Mickey Reynolds, Timothy Paul Reynolds, Larry Wayne Mayo, Jr., Christy Lynn Mayo Napp, Melissa Ann Turner, Dewanna Young, Tammy Wilson, James Murry, Jackie Albritton, Jr., Jonathan Adam Chandler and Benjamin Tyler Chandler and many special friends.

Pallbearers will be Jackie Albritton, Jr., Tommy Brown, Charlie Jones, Jaime Duff, Glenn Belk and Warren Spruell. Honorary pallbearers will be his grandsons.
