Janice "Jan" E. Alberts, nee Ellendt, age 56, of Alsip, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 14, 2010.
Loving wife of David A. Alberts; beloved mother of Scott (Kathy) Alberts, Mark Alberts, Patricia Alberts-Wlosek, Michael Alberts, and John Alberts; cherished daughter of Lucille and the late Ralph Ellendt; proud grandmother of Tyler Wlosek; fond niece of Edna Wendt.
Janice was a member of the Holy Cross Church and also a member of the Southwest Symphony and played in the orchestra with various community theater groups, including the Pitt Players.
Friends are invited to meet with the family on Friday, Dec. 17, 2010 from 3 until 9 p.m. at the Curley Funeral Home, 6116 W. 111th St., Chicago Ridge.
Lying-in-state Saturday, Dec. 18, 2010 from 9 a.m. until time of Service at 10 a.m. at the Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 4041 W. 120th St., Alsip, with Rev. Chris D. Ongstad, Pastor officiating.
Private Interment at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Music Dept. at Holy Cross Lutheran Church or to the Ovarian Cancer Research Fund.
