SAVANNAH -- Mrs. Ollie Mae Akins, age 90, died Saturday at Candler Hospital. The Bulloch County native lived in Savannah since 1936. She was a homemaker and was of the Primitive Baptist faith.
Survivors include one son, Aubrey Akins of Savannah; one grandson, Shawn Thompson of Savannah; two great-grandchildren, Patrick Thompson and Allison Thompson, both of Savannah; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Monday at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Hodges-Turner-Anderson Funeral Home.
Burial will be in Upper Mill Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.
