Angie Akin, age 64 of Dawsonville, Georgia, passed away Monday, August 03, 2015. She was born May 08, 1951 in Atlanta, Georgia to the late J.T. Akin and Barbara Mulkey Akin Tucker. She was Baptist by faith. She is survived by her companion, Wayne Carden and his children, Dawn Coffin, Velvet Moore, and Denisha Martin; sisters, Cathy Akin White of Lithia Springs, and Denise Akin Engler of Yorkville; brothers, Pastor Tommy Akin of Carrollton, and Jerry Akin of Sampson, AL; a special aunt, Hazel Campbell of McDonough; and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be conducted Friday, August 07, 2015 at 11:00 AM from Martin & Hightower Heritage Chapel with Pastor Tommy Akin officiating. Interment will follow in New Lebanon Baptist Church Cemetery.
