Billie Ann Akers, 56, of Jasper died Friday, Dec. 18, 1998, at Walker Baptist Medical Center. The funeral was at 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 20, 1998, at Bell-Sumiton Chapel with burial in New Horizon Memorial Cemetery. The Rev. Doug Tate officiated. Bell Funeral Home of Sumiton directed.

Survived by her son, Donald Joe Williams of Jasper; two daughters, Shawne Akers Sarr of Sumiton and Candace Akers Roberts of Jasper; three brothers, Jimmy Jordan of Empire, Billy Adams of Sipsey and Phillip Jordan of Carbon Hill; three sisters, Nellie Jackson and Cathy Hadder, both of Carbon Hill and Patsy Akers of Cordova; and six grandchildren, Samantha Williams, Zachary Sarr, Emaleigh Sarr, Sarah Williams, David Sarr and Logan Roberts; and several nieces and nephews.
