Garnet Lee Aitken, 87, of Keokuk, died at 6:39 am, Monday, April 06, 2015, at Keokuk Area Hospital.

Garnet was born October 27, 1927, in Keokuk, Iowa, the only child of Clifford A and Helen J. Klingle Quick. She lived in Keokuk her entire life and graduated from Keokuk Senior High School in 1944. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Keokuk. She married Daniel L. Buck on May 4, 1946, in Keokuk. He preceded her in death on May 20, 1992. She married Richard D. Aitken on September 19, 1993. He survives.

She is also survived by a daughter, Janet C. (Perry) Colvin of Keokuk; granddaughter, Chrystal L Michael) St. Clair of Keokuk; two great-granddaughters, Mollee C. and Emalee G. St. Clair. She is also survived by step-daughter, Mary Joy (James L.) Philp, and step-grandson, Curtis J. Philp.

She was preceded by her parents and her first husband.

A celebration of her life will be at 11:00 AM Friday, April 10, 2015, at DeJong-Greaves celebration of Life Center at 917 Blondeau in Keokuk with Pastor Missy Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park.

Visitation will be from 10:30 Friday until the time of the service.
