He was born December 10, 1939 in Blackfoot (Thomas) Idaho to Owen Donald Aiken and Ida Ireen Anderson. Eldon graduated from Minico High School (Rupert, ID) in 1958. He was a graduate of Salt Lake Barber College in 1960. He married Sharon Butler on December 16, 1961; later divorced.He was a kind, patient, loving father who enjoyed fishing, hunting, and spending time with his family. We will miss him very much. He was a member of the LDS church, an Eagle Scout and award winning hair stylist for 38 years, owner/operator of Competition Hair Design for 22 years.
He is survived by his mother, Ida I. Aiken (Modesto, CA); five children, Nadine Curtis (Sandy), SharAnne (Johnny) Gallegos (Pocatello, ID), Eileen Aiken, Eugene Aiken (Salt Lake City), Michael Aiken (Pocatello); three brothers, Owen DeLon Aiken (Mtn. Home, ID), Raymond Aiken (Modesto, CA), Donald Aiken (Idaho Falls, ID); and seven grandchildren. Preceded in death by his father, Owen Donald Aiken; brother, Eugene Aiken; sister, Melree Aiken; and daughter, Elaine Aiken.
We would like to extend a special thanks to his clients for their loyal patronage, many of whom were also his friends. We would also like to express our gratitude to those who gave special care during his last few weeks.
Funeral services will be held at 12 noon on Tuesday October 27, 1998 at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary, 3401 South Highland Drive. Friends may call on Monday evening from 6-8 and 10:45-11:45 prior to service. Interment, Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.
