Born in Six Mile, Mrs. Aiken was a daughter of the late Luther Alexander and the late Paralee Holcombe Alexander Gilstrap. She graduated from Tamassee DAR School and was a homemaker. Mrs. Aiken was a member of Fairview Baptist Church, and she was a devoted, loving wife, mother, and nanny.
Surviving are two sons, Steve Aiken of Easley and Tony Aiken of Pickens; a daughter, Marlene Aiken of Pickens; seven grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and a half-sister, Diane Byars.
Mrs. Aiken was predeceased by her husband, Marlin Aiken; a son, Jackie Aiken; a sister, Mamie Jo Williams; and a half-brother, Lt. Col. Billy Gilstrap.
Funeral services will be 4PM Monday in the Chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown Easley. Burial will follow in Holly Springs Baptist Church.
The family will receive friends from 5-7PM Sunday at the funeral home. The family is at the home of Marlene Aiken, 210 Planer Street, Pickens, SC 29671.
