John was born February 19 in Taft, Texas to Gus and Ethel “Ty” (Huey) Aigner. He spent his early years in Sinton before moving to Houston, and later Portland. John was an Army veteran where he served in the Military Police. He received numerous medals for his excellent precision in sharp shooting. John was an accomplished sportsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing. He loved to be around family and friends. John was quite the entertainer and host of many good parties. He was in the oil field until his retirement from Schlumberger.
John is survived by his former wife, Mary Alice of Houston, Texas; son, Jason of Houston, Texas; daughter, Leslie of Portland, Texas; grandson, Jake of Houston, Texas; and extended family.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, February 23, 2016 beginning at 9:00 AM at Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel, Sinton. A celebration of life service will be held the same morning, 11:00 AM, at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Sinton Cemetery, Sinton. Pallbearers will be John Robert Flowers, Fred Woodland, Jimmy Aigner, Jay Wikoff, Bruce Collier and Ervin Lee Aigner. Honorary pallbearers will be Don Powers and Virgil Aigner.
