Bertha O. Aguirre, 75, a resident of Albuquerque for 34 years, died Saturday, August 19, 2006. She is survived by her devoted husband of 34 years, George Aguirre of the family home; children, Marie Sutter and husband, Dave of Tucson, AZ, Charles A. Benites and wife, Donna of Belen, NM, Ana Benford and husband, Mark of Rio Rancho, NM, and Ralph Benites of Albuquerque, NM; eight grandchildren, Danica, Luis, Eric, Daveri, Jeaniva, Bryan, Ashley, and Emily; five great-grandchildren, Kendall, Seth, Aaliyah, Andre, and Amber; and numerous other relatives and friends. Bertha was preceded in death by her first husband, Charles Benites; and two sisters, Luz Ruelas and Hortencia Bachman. She was born on March 20, 1931 in Tucson, AZ and spent the first 32 years of her life there before moving to Albuquerque. Bertha was kind and had a generous heart, always remembering everyone's birthday and every special occasion. She was a devoted wife and loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother and will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Cremation has taken place and a Memorial Mass will be held at St. Augustine Cathedral, 192 South Stone in Tucson, AZ, on Saturday, August 26, 2006 at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow at Holy Hope Cemetery. There will also be a Memorial Mass at Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church, Lomas at Tennessee NE, in Albuquerque, NM on September 2, 2006, at 8:30 a.m. Arrangements by French Mortuary, Inc. 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE (505) 275-3500
