Funeral services for Aurora Aguilar, 81, of Rosenberg, will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, August 22, 2006, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Rosenberg, with interment following at W.O.W. Cemetery. A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Monday, August 21, 2006, at Angeles Crest Funeral Home on Rosenberg.
She was a resident of Rosenberg for 50 years and she enjoyed dancing. She was born Sept. 12, 1924 in Sugar Land, and she passed away Aug. 19, 2006 in Rosenberg.
She was preceded on death by her husband, Jimmie Aguilar; sons: Jimmie Aguilar, Alex Aguilar, and Richard Pena; daughters, Olga Lynn Aguilar and Bonnie Dale Aguilar; and son-in-law, Igncacio (Nacho) Castillo.
She is survived by son, Tommy Aguilar and his wife, Sandra, of Rosenberg; daughters, Rosemary Castillo of Rosenberg, Helen Aguilar and her husband, Tony, of Indiana, Bonnie Aguilar of Rosenberg, and Bobbi Almazan and her husband, Lee, of Richmond; 15 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews and extended loved ones.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Monday, August 20, 2006, at Angeles Crest Funeral Home in Rosenberg.
For those wishing, in lieu of flowers, the family is asking that donations be made to Alzheimer's Association of Hospice.
