First Lt. Antonio P. Aguilar, 26, died Jan. 18 in Japan. He was serving with the U.S. Marines.
Funeral Mass was held at Our Lady of Health Catholic Church with the Rev. Jose Saiz officiating. Burial followed in Hillcrest Cemetery with full military honors under direction of the U.S. Marine Corps.
Survivors included his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Martin Aguilar of Las Cruces; his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Ladisladio Pavia of Mexico; one brother, Martin Aguilar Jr.; two sisters, Nellie and Eva Aguilar, all of the home.
Pallbearers were members of the U.S. Marine Corp.
