Tuesday Morning July 31, 1883
—Amos Agard, a much respected citizen
of Pottersville, who has resided all his
life (sixty years) In that village, died on
Sunday last of typhoid fever, after a brief
illness. The gentleman's parents moved
to Pottersville from Rhode Island some
time before Amos was born. They are of
English descent, and the deceased was the
last person by that name who was a living
relative of the family, and in fact the last
person of the family known by the relatives
to exist, Mr. Agard was an uncle of John Wendell, of this place, who will attend
his funeral to day.
