Peacefully on Tuesday, March 27, 2018 in her 93rd year. Predeceased by her beloved husband of 61 years James, and her dear son Michael.
Maria also leaves behind many nieces and nephews who were loved by her and influenced greatly by her kindness.
Maria survived the war in Europe and came to Canada from Greece in 1948 along with her sisters and uncles. After marrying Jim, she became a devoted homemaker and raised a family in Montreal and later in Ottawa. There were many challenges for her along the way which she faced with courage.
