HILLSBORO - Faryl Wade Agans, 71, of Hillsboro passed away on the morning of Friday, Jan. 4, 2008, at his residence with his family by his side.
Bass, Patton, Dean Funeral Home in Hillsboro will host services honoring and celebrating his life at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2008, with Father James Neuman officiating. Interment will be at 3:30 p.m. in Dodge Grove Cemetery in Mattoon. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday, Jan. 7, 2008, at the funeral home.
Faryl was born in Camden on Sept. 16, 1936, to the late Fred Winscyal and Naomi Morrell Agans. He was united in marriage to Patty Jenkins-Foley, formerly of Mattoon, on Dec. 21, 1991, in St. Louis. He is survived by Patty, his loving and devoted wife and best friend of 16 years; two children, Suzie Agans of Arizona and Fredrick "Rick" W. Agans of Gillespie; a granddaughter, Lauren Agans of Gillespie; a great-grandson, Owen Voyles of Gillespie; a brother, David Agans of Daphne, Ala.; a sister, Harriet McGaughey of Vermont; and several great-nieces and -nephews and their families.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Linda Gain and Peggy Marlowe; and a brother who died at birth.
