Mrs. Emma Fricks Agan Gribble, of Rome, passed away Saturday morning, May 21, 2016, in a local health care facility.

She was married to Charles Willis Agan on November 1, 1940, and he preceded her in death in 1975. She later married Clyde Gribble, who preceded her in death in 1994. Mrs. Gribble was also preceded in death by her parents, Jess Cornelius Fricks and the Lavada Monk Fricks; three sisters, Thelma Freeman, Mahalia Dawson, and Estelle McClain, and by 6 brothers, Robert, John L., Ragan, Clarence, Felton, and Duran Fricks.

Mrs. Gribble was a devoted Christian lady who loved her Lord and her family and was a faithful member of Shorter Avenue Baptist Church after her previous membership at Flint Hill Baptist Church. She was the bookkeeper for her husband's business, C. W. Agan Plumbing for a number of years. She was also employed as a seamstress in the Belk Alterations Department. Prior to her retirement she was housekeeper for Shorter Avenue Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 23, 2016, at 3 pm at Shorter Avenue Baptist Church. Interment will follow in Flint Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at Shorter Avenue Baptist Church on Monday from 1 pm until the service hour.
