Daniel R. Adkisson, age 75, of Duncan, died Wednesday, May 6, 2015 at his home.

Daniel was born June 10, 1939 in Columbus, Nebraska to Oscar and Laura (Leimser) Adkisson. He graduated from Duncan High in 1957. Daniel worked at Behlen Manufacturing for 41 years. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and always had a "bit of honey" in his pocket. He also enjoyed horseback riding and herding cattle as a kid. He cherished the Adkisson Farm and the heritage that went with it. He adored his grandchildren and great grandson and loved spending time with them. His children were his pride and joy. His chickens and eggs may have been just as important. Daniel loved serving the village of Duncan as it's meter reader. Daniel loved Nebraska sports, Green Bay Packers and loved singing and listening to Conway Twitty and George Jones. He was a patriot and enjoyed displaying the American Flag.
