He will be laid to rest until that glorious day of the appearing of our Lord at Westover Memorial Park with his grandson, Dylan James Adkison. Pastor Adkison was born in DeFuniak Springs, Florida on September 2, 1955. He was called into the ministry at the age of sixteen. He was youth pastor for two years in Panama City, Florida at the Apostolic Pentecostal Church under Rev. E.T. McDonald. In 1976 he and his wife moved to West Point, Mississppi to become the youth pastor under Rev. Henry Jones for eight years. He left to evangelize and later returned to become the pastor at First Pentecostal Church in West Point, Mississippi for two years. From there he went to Oklahoma City to become assistant pastor to Rev. E.T. McDonald for two years. In 1983 he returned to his home town to assume pastorate of his dad's church and was there for ten years. After leaving and evangelizing for one year he became Pastor of Cathedral of Praise in 1993. His church family was very much a part of his life. He dearly loved Cathedral of Praise. He wants the church to know that it is his desire for you to continue on in the faith and to keep Truth dear to your hearts. Next to his calling to preach, he loved spending his time with his wife and "Sweetheart", Judy, to whom he was happily married for thirty four years. He enjoyed being with their two children, Marc Adkison and Marietta Najera, Reuben Najera, his son-in-law, and his two lovely grand-daughters, Alexis Victoria and Madeline Brooke Najera. His survivors are his wife and "Sweetheart" Judy C. Adkison, one son, James Marcus Adkison of Greenville, South Carolina, one daughter, Marietta Najera and her husband Reuben Najera of Fort Worth, Texas, where he serves as pastor over the Hispanic work at Cornerstone Apostolic Church, their two beautiful girls, Alexis Victoria and Madeline Brooke, all of whom he was very proud. Life is not measured by..
The number of breaths we take,
