"Alma Adkins, 80, of Sprague, WV was a daughter of Snowden S. and Louisa Meadows Bragg. Born June 14, 1891 at Long Bottom, she was a lifelong resident of Raleigh County and had lived at Harper Heights prior to moving to Sprague.
Her husband, Porter Adkins preceded her in death April 25, 1971, and a son, Gene died May 30, 1957. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Joann Knuckles, Beckley; two sons, Julius, Calloway Heights, and Bobby Adkins, at home; a brother, Bill Bragg, Long Bottom, a sister, Miss Dora Bragg, Cincinnati, Ohio, and 14 grandchildren.
Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park in Beckley. "
