Earl S. Addington, 68, died at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Mountain Home Veterans Hospital. Born in Virginia and a retired barber, he had been at Mountain Home for five years. He served in the Navy in 1919-1920 and in the Army in World War II, and was a member of American Legion Hammond Post No. 3. Surviving are his step-mother, Mrs. Eliza Addington of Gate City; brothers, Luther of Wise, Va.; Olin M., Kingsport; Orville, Blacksburg, Va., and Omer Addington, Gate City. Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements..

Funeral services for Earl S. Addington, 68, who died Saturday morning at the Veterans Hospital at Mountain Home, will be held in the chapel there Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. with the chaplain officiating. Burial will be in the veterans' cemetery at Mountain Home with military rites at the graveside. The family suggests that those desiring may give to the Muscular Dystrophy Society, Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home is in charge.
