Byron Edward Adcock, age 82 of Good Hope, died on July 23, 2008. He was born in Walton County on March 3, 1926 to the late Robert Nella Adcock and the late Fannie Stewart Adcock.
Byron Adcock served in the US Army during World War II, and was lifetime member of the V.F.W. He was married to his wife, Mrs. Hazel Adcock, for 56 years. He was a member of the Good Hope Christian Church, where he also served as an elder and treasurer for the church. He was also served on the Good Hope City Council for many years. He also worked at the Good Hope Post Office for 27 1/2 years.
Surviving are: wife: Hazel Malcom Adcock of Good Hope; sister: Blanche Saxton of Monroe; brother: Stewart Adcock of Monroe; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services were held on Saturday July 26 at 2 p.m. at Good Hope Christian Church with the Rev. Doyle Wallace and the Rev. Willis Lumpkin officiating. Interment followed at Good Hope Christian Church Cemetery.
