DIED—at her home in this city on Thursday night, December 20th,- Mrs.
Sarah Fox, wife of Elias M Fox,aged 54 years. About ten days before
her death, deceased was stricken with paralysis and though all was
done for her that human skill could do, she gradually grew weaker until the end came. The funeral took place from the M. E. church on Saturday at 11:00 o'clock conducted by Rev. I. O. Kemble and the Woman's Relief Corps, of which she was a member. Deceased was the mother of five children, all of whom are married and all were present at her death and funeral. They are: Mrs. A. Stephens, of California, Mrs. M. P. Graham, who lives west of Centerville, Mrs. Arbogast,of Numa, Hiram Fox, of Numa,and Mrs. Albert Bradley, of Centerville.
Mr. and Mrs. Fox moved to Centerville less than a year ago from Numa, where they had lived for about 12 years. The esteem in which she was held in the community was attested by the number of people who came from her former home to attend the funeral. At Numa she was known as
"Aunt Sarah" and was known and loved by the whole community, and among those who came down to pay their last respects were Mr and Mrs. G. W. Holshouser, Burr Veach, J. B. Wertz, L. D. Coulter, Mrs. J. W. Coulter, Mrs A. P. Stanton, Mrs. N. C. Blackburn, Mrs Celia Johnson,
Miss Thena Russell and Mrs. Charles Leak.
