WEBSTER ALONZA ADAMS, SR.

Webster Alonza Adams, Sr. went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, June 20, 2012.

Born August 16, 1932 to Mabel Milburn, (mother), and Rufus Adams, (father), in Chester, Pennsylvania. After graduating high school, Webster Adams went into the United States Air Force where he was assigned to the 528th Air Base Squadron and specialized in Cryptography. He served from May 18, 1951 thru May 17, 1955. Webster received the National Defense Service Medal and Good Conduct Medal. Webster was a Veteran of the Korean War.

Later he married the Love of his Life, the Late Doretha E. Adams (preceded him in death 2005). The Lord blessed them with nine beautiful children. Webster was employed thirteen years with the United States Postal Service and after attending night school where he received an Associate Degree in Electrical Technology, Webster was later employed by the Protection Services Division of Honeywell, Inc. until his retirement in 1994. While at Honeywell, he received The Recognition of Commitment to Quality Service Award in 1987, 1990 and 1991. In 1994 Webster and Doretha moved to Ormond Beach, Florida. Our Dad was an awesome father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Daddy loved to dance, sing, watch sports and listen to Jazz. He always had a positive message or something knowledgeable to say with everyone who came in contact with him. The number one thing that mattered most to daddy was his FAMILY! Webster was a member of the Theatre Workshop of the Ormond Beach Performing Arts Center, Ormond Beach, where he performed in numerous plays.
