Elizabeth “Beth” Adams, 92, of Blackfoot, Idaho passed away Sunday, December 20, 2015 at her home from congestive heart failure.

She was born February 10, 1923 in Jensen, Utah to Jonathan Moyes Murray and Verlie Stewart. She attended grade school in Jensen and from 7th grade to graduation she attended school in Vernal, Utah.

On April 25, 1942 she married Ray Edward Adams in Las Vegas, Nevada. After their marriage, they lived in Las Vegas until 1947 when they came to Blackfoot and lived here since.


Beth worked at American Potato, Sunspiced and Wada Potato as a potato grader and inspector. She loved being a part of the Blackfoot Senior Citizens Center and playing bingo with them. She also enjoyed salmon fishing with her husband and family, crocheting and was a shopper. She was an avid Utah Jazz fan.

She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served as a Relief Society, Primary and Visiting Teacher.

Beth is survived by her daughter-in-law, Helen Adams of Blackfoot; brother, Macks Murray of Roosevelt, Utah; three grandchildren, Dennise Hadlock, Natalie Sanders and Jennifer Wilson; and six great grandchildren, Courtney (Eddie) Ponce, Kaylie Hadlock, Joshua Sanders, Chase (Jessie) Sanders, Noah and Zach Wilson; and two great great grandchildren, Rayden and Harley Sanders.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Ray; son, Max E. Adams; four brothers, Wilbur, Boyd, Dee and Johnny; and six sisters, Thelma, Thelda, Sarah, Alberta, Verlie and Erma.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, December 28, 2015 at Hawker Funeral Home, 132 South Shilling Avenue in Blackfoot. Family will meet with friends and relatives for one hour prior to services at the funeral home. Interment will follow at the Groveland Cemetery.
