She was the widow of Vaughan Adams.
She was born July 8, 1929, in Independence.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Ron and Rebecca Adams of Hillsville; three daughters and sons-in-law, Linda and Randal Turner of Draper, Freida and Nicholas Edwards of Fancy Gap and Darlene and Rusty Reeves of Baywood; a sister, Louise Hill of Fries; 10 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; and nine step-great-grandchildren.
A funeral was held Monday at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, Independence, with burial in the church cemetery. The Rev. Fred E. Jennings officiated.
Military rites were conducted at graveside by the Hillsville Ladies Auxiliary VFW Post 1115.
