Mr. Adams was born September 27, 1930 in Walterboro, SC, the son of Dan Eddie Adams, Jr., and Ronella Nettles Adams. He was a retired commercial superintendent with Adams Construction Company.
He was the recipient of The Craftsman Award in 1977 by the South Carolina Chapter of the American Institute of Architects.
He was a member of Fort Johnson Baptist Church. He is survived by two sons: Jack Thomas Adams of Columbia, SC and Vernon Frank Adams of North Charleston, SC: two stepsons: Arnie Ferguson and his wife Sheri of James Island, SC and Brian Ferguson of James Island, SC; two sisters: Isabella Catterton of Yemasee, SC and Betty Gates of Two Harbors, MI; two brothers: Dan Eddie Adams, Jr., and Norman Douglas Adams, both of Lady's Island, SC; and three grandchildren: Ryan Ferguson, Kelley Ferguson and Patrick Ferguson.
