XENIA — Georgia Abel (née Adams) of Xenia passed away on July 30 at Hospice of Dayton .
She was born on September 6, 1933 in Hite, Kentucky.
She is survived by children Jan Abel of Xenia, Tina Neff of Dayton, Diana Mitchell (Gerrald) of Fairborn, Jim Abel (Kay) of Kettering, and Scott Abel (Vicki) of Xenia. She is also survived by grandchildren, Ashleigh Neff, Matthew Abel (Jamie), Tyler Abel (Chelbie and son Haiden), Kyle Abel (Julie), Jason Abel (Jessica), and Petao Neff, great grandchild, Sophia Abel, step grandchildren Jennifer Murphy, Jason Neff (Alyson), Samantha Kinser (Ben), Stephanie Truett (Joe), JR Mitchell (Amanda), and 12 step great grandchildren. Georgia is survived by brothers, Bobby Adams (Renate) of Ocala, Florida, Gene Adams (Evelyn), of West Milton, and Glen Adams of Homasassa, Florida, sisters Patsy Williams of West Milton, Linda Adams of Kettering, in-laws Myrtle Abel, and David and Carolyn Abel. She had numerous nieces, nephews and several close friends who also survive.
Georgia was preceded in death by her parents Eugene and Corean Adams, brothers William Lear, Orville Adams, Banford Adams, Blanche Bellamy, and Stanley Adams, and son-in-law, George Neff, Jr.
A prayer service will be held on Saturday, August 13 at St. Brigid Catholic Church, 312 Fairground Rd. at 11:00 AM with interment following at St. Brigid Cemetery. Family will welcome friends and family following the services at a luncheon at the St. Brigid Parish Activity Center. In lieu of flowers, please donate to Hospice of Dayton or the St. Brigid Memorial Fund.
