Charles David Adams, age 69, of Andrews, NC went back home on Tuesday, January 25, 2011 at his residence.
He was a native and a lifelong resident of Cherokee County, NC and the son of Willa Belle Birchfield Adams of Andrews, NC and the late Alnie Adams. Charles was a US Army Vietnam veteran. He worked for the Town of Andrews Water Department. Charles worked with youth football for many years and was a staunch supporter of Andrews football. He was of the Christian faith.
In addition to his father he was preceded in death by two infant twin sisters.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife of 37 years, Lois Earwood Adams; one son, Shoyne Adams and his wife, Jennifer of Andrews, NC; two granddaughters, Hannah and Aubrey Baldwin of Andrews, NC; two brothers, Alvin Adams and his wife, Virginia of Andrews, NC and Stanley Adams and his wife, Kay of Conyers, GA.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, January 29, 2011 at Townson-Rose Chapel in Andrews, NC. Rev. Kenneth Morgan and Rev. Eric Jones will officiate. Music will be provided by Sharon Gibson, Sherline Raxter, Lucy Westberry and Charles Baldwin. Burial will be in the Valley River Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Buddy Holland, Sue Holland, Randy West, Dane Richett, Jim Dailey, Tim Adams, Tony Adams and Shoyne Adams. Honorary pallbearers will be Jerry Postell and Bill Stiles.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM, Saturday, January 29, 2011 at the Townson-Rose Chapel in Andrews, NC.
