Lake of the Ozarks, Mo. — Robert Cooke "Fuzzy" Adams, 88, of Eldon, died Monday, Jan. 3, 2011, at Lake Regional Hospital in Osage Beach, Mo.
He was born on April 10, 1922, in Jefferson City, Mo., to the late Loge and Rose (Cooke) Adams.
He grew up in Jefferson City and graduated from Jefferson City High School in 1940.
Robert joined the Navy in December 1942 and was honorably discharged in 1945. He was married in Montgomery City, Mo., to Virginia Bosley, who preceded him in death on May 3, 1982, and they have one son, Thomas Adams, who survives of the home.
Robert played basketball for the Jefferson City Jays. He loved fishing, playing golf and watching the St. Louis Cardinals. He had a life membership to the Eldon Country Club, was a member of the Eldon First Christian Church and the American Legion Enloe Post No. 5 in Jefferson City.
His parents, wife, sister, Pauline, and brothers, Harold, Richard and twin brother Russell, preceded him in death.
No services are planned at this time. His body has been cremated and private inurnment will take place at the Eldon City Cemetery at a later date.
Arrangements are under the direction of Phillips Funeral Home, of Eldon, Mo.
