A resident of Baton Rouge and native of Burkburnette, TX, passed away Saturday, April 7, 2012, at the age of 88.
He was an Army Veteran a graduate from the University of Houston, and a retired insurance salesman.
Visitation will be held at Greenoaks Funeral Home 9595 Florida Blvd. on Thursday, April 12, 2012, from 5 PM until 9 PM and will resume on Friday, April 13, 2012, from 9 AM until service at 10 AM. Interment will follow in Greenoaks Memorial Park.
He is survived by two sons, Byron and Micheal Adams; one sister, Wanda Williams, and husband, James; one brother, Edward Adams and wife, Nancy; two sisters-in-law, Margie and Estella Adams; and many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Bernice Adams; son, Richard Adams; parents, Frank and Rosa Adams; four brothers, L.J., Durwood, James, and Jerrell Adams.
Pallbearers will be Byron, Micheal, and Edward Adams, James Williams, Harlow Smith, Vincent Dubroc, and Billy Bitner.
