Services for Mrs. Nita Adams, 91, of Martin, were held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 16, at the Public Wells Baptist Church with Rev. John Phillips and Pastor Barry Capps officiating. Burial was in the Public Wells Cemetery near Martin with Murphy Funeral Home in charge.
Mrs. Adams, a homemaker, died Sunday, May 13, at the Volunteer General Hospital in Martin.
A native of McKenzie, born May 13, 1899, she was a member of the Public Wells Baptist Church.
Surviving are a daughter, Kathryn Grissom of Martin; a son Phillip O. Adams of Holt, Michigan; seven grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
Serving as pallbearers were Tom W. Adams, Allen R. Adams, Richard L. Adams, Tom W. Adams, Jr., Robert E. Adams, and Mark Cosgwell.
