David lost his life in an ice fishing accident alongside his son, Joseph who also died in the accident.
David received his education in Clarke Community Schools graduating in 1971 and later attended Southwestern Community College.
He was united in marriage to Donna Lynn Clark on July 31, 1977 at Osceola, Iowa and four children, Gabe, Jake, Josh and Joseph blessed this union.
David began working at the Maple Hill Cemetery in Osceola in 1982 and later became the Superintendent. He continued his work at Maple Hill until 1996 when he moved to Alabama with his family. Later in his life David felt the calling to help people in a different way and returned to school in order to become a Funeral Director. He has served many families over his fourteen years as a licensed funeral director and embalmer for Sweeney-Phillips & Holdren Funeral Home in Warrensburg, Missouri. David also served his community as the president of the Lion's Club and while living in Osceola he was involved with the Osceola Mat Club and Osceola Little League.
David enjoyed being outdoors. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, rock hunting, mushroom hunting, kayaking and aggravating others. He always kept a pristine lawn. He was a loving family man.
Those relatives who preceded David in death were his, mother-in-law, Delores Clark, sisters-in-law, Debbie Clark, grandparents, Russel & Mable Critz and Hazel & Marlo Adair.
David leaves to cherish his memory; wife, Donna Lynn Adair of Knob Noster, MO, parents, Max and Beulah of Phoenix, AZ, son, Gabe (Rana) Adair of Urbandale, IA, son, Josh Adair of Woodland, IA, son, Jake Adair of Knob Noster, MO, grandchildren, Taylor, Cole and Chase of Urbandale, IA; brothers, Denny Adair of Osceola, IA; Jim (Laurel) Adair of AZ; John (Cindy) Adair of AZ, Mike (Janet) Adair of TN; Ron Adair of IA; father-in-law, Gerald (Lynette) Clark of Osceola, IA, brother-in-law, Rob (Nila) Clark of Osceola, IA as well as other relatives and many friends.
