OBIT: Fairmount, March 15 – Rev. R. E. Carey will be in charge of the funeral services for John V. Ackerman, 67, retired baker, at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Church of God. Burial will be in Park Cemetery. Mr. Ackerman died at 8:15 a.m. today following a brief illness. Survivors include the wife, Daisy; two daughters, Mrs. Ralph Russell, RR 5, Marion, and Mrs. Francis Bournique, Gas City; one son, John, Jr., RR 6, Marion, two brothers, Henry, Marion and Charles, Fairmount; three sisters, Mrs. Mae Vermillion, Anderson; Mrs. Josephine Hill, Marion and Christina Buller, Fairmount, and four grandchildren.
