Masonic services will be conducted at 7 pm. A graveside service will take place on Monday at 11 am at the Graceland Memorial park, Kenilworth. Mr. Ackerman was born in Union City, NJ and lived in Jersey City before moving to Westfield 50 years ago. He was a veteran of the US Navy. Mr. Ackerman was a past Master of Atlas Pythagoras Lodge No. 10 F & A.M. in Westfield. He was also a past High Priest of Corinthian Chapter No. 57 R.A.M. in Westfield. Mr. Ackerman was a member of Tall Cedars of Lebanon Elizabeth Forest No. 6. George was predeceased by his wife, Dolores and is survived by his children; Gary, Eileen Hrubik and Carol Crystal. He will also be deeply missed by his four grandchildren."
