Obituary - Jean Morgan passed peacefully on the afternoon of February 28th from complications of old age with her daughter, Janice, at her side. Jean will be reunited with her husband of nearly 60 years, Ray, who passed away in March of 2006. Jean was the last surviving child of Will and Blanche Abrams, having been preceded in death by her brother Wallace.

She leaves behind six children and their spouses (Ron and Mae, Howard and Wanda, Linda and Pete, Meredith and Joyce, Eileen and Brad, and Janice and Jim), nine grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, and her sister-in-law, Betty, who was like a sister to her.

Jean lived most of her life, and raised her children, in the home in which she was born in Fruit Heights. She was a devoted wife and mother whose family always came first. Her children have fond memories of her homemade bread and doughnuts, her chicken casserole, and all the great home-cooked meals, which for many years came from food that was grown on the family farm. Her favorite activities were taking care of her family, sewing, cleaning, cooking, her church and Relief Society, and just raising her kids. She did much of that while also working outside the home in the Davis County school lunch program.

Jean loved to visit with her neighbors, and she enjoyed getting together with her long-time friends for many years as part of the Fruit Heights "birthday club." She was a kind and loving person who always saw the goodness in people and seldom had a harsh word for anyone.

Funeral services will be held Friday, March 4, 2011 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist's Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road. Friends may visit family on Friday from 9:45to 10:45 a.m. at the mortuary. Interment, Kaysville City Cemetery.

The family would like to thank the many wonderful caregivers at the Rocky Mountain Care Center in Clearfield for their kind and compassionate care.

We will miss you Mom.
